Input | Output (IO) at Rare Evo 2024: blockchain innovation and demon slaying in the neon city

Input | Output (IO) will attend Rare Evo 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada, taking place from 15-17 August. A blockchain convention created to ‘celebrate around the theme of interoperability and the convergence of traditional industry with Web3 technology’, the Cardano Foundation and Emurgo will also attend, as will teams from Project Catalyst, Midnight, and the member-based organization Intersect.

IO is one of the event’s sponsors, and the team will participate in multiple speaking engagements and host several workshops and masterclasses throughout the event. Here are some notable highlights:

Ricky Rand and Samuel Leathers from IO Engineering will present 'An introduction to Input Output engineering: driving mainstream adoption of blockchain and beyond,' while Project Catalyst's product lead Kriss Baird and EVP community and ecosystem Tim Harrison will provide an in-depth look at ‘Project Catalyst: an innovation engine at work and its global impact.’ Charles Hoskinson will be joined on stage by IO’s chief product officer Mike Ward, David Harding, the general manager for the Atala project, and Hyperledger Foundation’s executive director Daniela Barbosa to discuss ‘Identity in the age of blockchain,’ and Midnight's chief executive officer Eran Barak will present 'Midnight: the dawn of a new era for Web3.' Tim Harrison, IO’s EVP of community & ecosystem, and Ben O’Hanlon, director of community and developer relations will also discuss the growth of the vibrant Cardano ecosystem and its role in a new age of governance.

Ben Beckman, CTO for data protection blockchain Midnight, will also be hosting a workshop for building a Midnight DApp, while Samuel Leathers along with experts from Cardano CLI, API and Ledger teams will run a Cardano Haskell API masterclass.

Notably, Trym Bruset, Hydra product manager for IO Engineering, will host a fireside chat titled ‘The making of DOOM’, during which he will discuss the technical details of the classic DOOM game tech demo running on Hydra technology at the show.
